A Place For Everyone

Lake of the Woods Pizza Co | A Place for Everyone

We’re more than a restaurant — we’re a family-friendly sports bar, a local gathering place, and a supporter of area schools and fundraisers. Our dining area is big enough for hockey teams, fishing crews, family reunions, or just a couple of friends catching up after a day on the lake. Kids love our pizza; adults love the bar; and everyone loves the laughter that comes with sharing a meal here.

And when you can’t stay? Our frozen pizzas let you bring the taste of Lake of the Woods home — perfect for deer camp, fish camp, or just a lazy Sunday. Many local businesses will soon be offering our frozen pizzas too, so you can find them wherever your adventures take you.

So whether you’re reeling in trophy walleyes on the south shore, exploring the 14,500 islands of Lake of the Woods, snowmobiling down the winter trails, or crossing the bridge from Canada, you’ll always find a warm welcome at Lake of the Woods Pizza Company — where every slice has a story, and you’re always part of it.

Honoring History and Culture

Honoring History and Culture

Lake of the Woods County was shaped by the logging booms, commercial fishing fleets, and the proud Ojibwe heritage of this land. The waterways that carry anglers today once carried steamboats, lumber rafts, and generations of Anishinaabe families whose traditions still run strong. We honor that history every day — from the Rainy River’s rich past to the thousands of stories shared over food, coffee, and a cold drink in our dining area.

Willie the Walleye — Our Neighbor and Mascot

Willie Walleye. Our Neighbor and Mascot.

Just a few steps away stands Willie the Walleye, a 40-foot fish sculpture first dedicated in 1959, now one of Minnesota’s most photographed icons. Fishermen from all over stop here before or after a day chasing the real thing. Some swear that stopping for a pizza and a picture with Willie brings luck — and judging by the size of the mounts we’ve seen, we’re not about to argue.

Where the Walleye Capital Meets World-Class Pizza

Where the Walleye Capital Meets World-Class Pizza

Here in Baudette, Minnesota — the Walleye Capital of the World — you can smell the pizza baking in our oven long before you step through our door. Inside, you’ll find not just legendary pizza, but sizzling Smashburgers, fresh sushi, and a full bar serving ice-cold beer, craft cocktails, and top-shelf liquor.

We’re right on the snowmobile trail, just steps from the Rainy River. Anglers in summer tie up their boats, winter ice fishermen roll in from local stays, and everyone’s welcome to pull up a chair and tell their best fish story — truth optional.

From here, you can explore neighboring towns like Warroad, Roseau, Williams, Roosevelt, International Falls, and Indus — each with its own ties to the outdoors. Across the parking lot lies Canada, with friendly border crossings into Rainy River, Emo, Fort Frances, and Dawson, where the friendships between our communities run as deep as the Rainy River itself.
